Hip Hop Honors Awards Party @ The Volstead

It was hectic, but it was a fun time. Wendell Hanes, his wife Lesley, Phat Gary, and DJ Premier, and myself forced ourselves in and did our thing at The Volstead. Hats off to Good Girl PR and TLAPR for a jam-packed shin-dig.

Highlights for me:
Seeing Zenobia for the first time in several years.
Talking with Lisa Willis and Ashley Battle of the NY Liberty.

Hearing Eazy Mo Bee tell Wendell that they need to get back in the studio to work on a commercial.

If you're going to be in the NYC area on Saturday, August 16 @4pm, drop by Harlem's Hue-Man Bookstore & Cafe.

Rob "Reef" Tewlow, who produced "What Up Gangster?" for 50 Cent (and is also the director of specialty programming for the Eminem Shade 45 Channels on Sirius Satellite); Sire, who co-produced "Window Shopper" for 50; as well as Phat Gary (DJ Premier's manager) will be on hand to support composer Wendell Hanes as he promotes his book...

THE 30-30 CAREER: Making 30 Grand in 30 Seconds! Producing Music for Commercials.

Wendell has brought Hip-Hop to Madison Avenue and recently wrote the music and lyrics for the Garnier Fructis Flow music video featuring Memphis Bleek.

Do you remember this one? A 30-30 producer did this spot as well.

If you got hot beats, bring em! You may be able to join The 30-30 Revolution.
